What is Colapso?
Colapso (Portuguese for Collapse) is a platform for artistic accompaniment created with the intention of generating critical and affective networks among artists, cultural agents and audiences. It aims to strengthen relationships among people from different contexts through creative processes, research, discussion and knowledge sharing that involves speculation, experimentation, fiction and poetics.
HOW WE COLLAPSE
-
We accompany the creative processes of contemporary artistic objects that go beyond hegemonic narratives.
-
We support scientific knowledge sharing by organizing seminars, workshops, debates and by developing publishing activities.
-
We create links that facilitate and strengthen connections between artists, curators, researchers or other critical thinkers and audiences.
-
We promote the reimagining of working conditions in arts and culture, as well as the de-hierarchization of work modes through the implementation of good associative practices.
We aim to reimagine reality by creating and producing a diverse range of artistic objects while fostering a vibrant network of artists, cultural agents and their audiences. We are committed to promoting contemporary artworks and artistic processes coming from diverse places of speech that go beyond hegemonic narratives as we believe that by challenging perspectives and encouraging dialogue we can ignite social change. We promote de-hierarchization of work modes in the arts and culture through the implementation of good associative practices as we see it as a means to shape the reality we live in towards a more inclusive shared future.
